The Caveman Diet

Way back when dinosaurs were roaming the earth, the habitants were clearly not equipped with the technology we have today.  They ate whatever they could get their hands on.  This is the basis of the Caveman Diet.

The RULE-  It's simple. You are only allowed to eat things that can be picked, foraged, or hunted in their most natural state.  This means meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts, eggs, and berries. 

This means you are not allowed to eat grains, beans, potatoes, dairy products, sugar, or salt. 
There's no catch either!  You can eat as much as you want on this diet, so you definitely won't starve like you will on the majority of the other diets out there.



Ray Audette was the man who invented this stone aged meal plan 15 years ago after he was diagnose with diabetes and suffered from arthritis.  Soon after he changed his way of eating completely and his health took a turn for the better!

"After I stopped eating them [foods prohibited on diet like milk, beans, potatoes, grains and sugar], my blood sugar went normal within a week,"  Audette claims.  "I'd also been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for about a dozen years before that.  It went away and never came back."

CBS talks to Audette and researchers to dig deeper into the diet.


 This diet is macro and micronutrient healthy for the body and for its functions. Some argue that it is not as healthy as it sounds, but you can listen to the arguments and decide for yourself.
