Dinner for Breakfast Diet

Did you ever treat yourself with a platter of delicious pancakes, dripping with syrup, with a side of bacon and milk for dinner? Well, flip it around and you've got an effective diet! Experimenting dieters have tried eating the "Dinner for Breakfast Diet" or the "Reverse Diet" and come out with great success.

The Rule: Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.

The Theory: Tricia Cunningham, the founder of the diet, uses the theory that if you eat the meal with your bulk of your calories in the beginning of your day you will lose weight. Why? Science shows that you burn the majority of your calories during the day and barely any of your calories at night when you sleep.  Therefore, by eating a bigger meal in the beginning of the day, you can burn those calories during your daily routine, and finish with a small dinner.

My opinion is that this sounds like an awesome idea.  It makes complete sense if you really think about it.  The only thing that throws me off is when I think dinner for breakfast, I think a chicken breast with grilled vegetables and pasta.  Not quite something my stomach will be prepared for at 6:30 in the morning!! EW! Thankfully, people who have tried the diet have come up with some satisfying recipes to make your breakfast not so...dinnery!

If you are considering this diet, get started today!  Here's a suggested shopping list to get diet rolling and the calories burning!
Here are some famous people who follow the Reverse Diet and some meal suggestions.
